We had to audition for parts in 'Toby Or Not Tobie' (a Commedia Dell' Arte, comic version of Shakespeare's Hamlet) . I auditioned for the roles of Zanni, The Female Lover, La Signora, Columbina and The Doctor. I was given 2 roles- La Signora/ Gertrude (Hamlet's mother) and a Jamaican Zanni. We had to devise scenes, using the method of improvisation. Here is a rough draft of my lines and cue lines as of yet:
