We also did a few runs of the show. Here is the running order:
I had gone through my lines a lot over the weekend and as a result, I felt that I had over practised them and my voice wasn't as flexible as it had been last week. A lot of the time it sounded like I was reading my lines straight from the script as opposed to acting them. I felt that I remained on the same level throughout, I rushed through most my lines- loosing the comedy timing, my physicality and energy wasn't as well used as in the past week and I couldn't rely on my voice as much either (last week, I could easily change my pitch- going from high to low- in order to emphasize certain points. This week I had to work very hard to do this and there were certain words that I just couldn't say the same as I did last week). Also my accent seemed to change, as my voice was too restricted to put on the exact same accent as I had before.
I can no longer perform as Rubicaan due to the fact that a costume change would be too difficult and she was only in two scenes anyway.
